Users review: I saw a movie with curiosity. It illness was very yummy too much is expected from The production of Baz Luhrmann. DiCaprio Leonardo was Gatsby (the Spor!) own while maintaining a sense of the familiar. The picture is an adaptation faithful and help me understand some clear themes Many of the Novell. youd think and even dubstep over the age of Jazz to rumble, soundtrack well. But work I love it couldnt. and (mostly) Tobey Maguire fault.Gatsby looming so large in the original story It is hard to forget all about Nick. but it can be said, and often , it was Nick and Gatsby who is the protagonist of Novell. matter Fitgeralds, told from the first person point of view, is only as good as its historic name; Gatsby just as big as he is seen as Nick way.Unfortunately, Maguire fell flat in its role as Guide a narrative. There is always so much going on and so much to absorb that Maguire dreamscape Luhrmann seems missing in all. How? It? So does the audience. Without a strong presence from Maguire, Nick has downgraded the role as interpreter of events be just another character (And that is quite important at that) was. Luhrmann trying to keep a straight Cart Because with their audience? First patient in the sanitarium to talk to a doctor, then a writer tries to explain the sadness through prose. but who came across the scene (at best) a heavy hand or expository (Extreme worst) Maguire is an exciting time to put the audiobook version of Gatsby.I great Wanted love this movie. I really do. It features many wonderful. But without Nick (just Tobey) to help make sense of people and events, anger, and half One falls in love with {}, and with great sorry, I turned away.
